FOGO VOLCANO, CAPE VERDE ISLANDS

Hi everyone

Just thought I would share some stunning imagery of Fogo volcano off the North West African coast (Cape Verde Island chain) supplied by Google Earth. From the image, it is clear that this volcano has had a violent past, and in fact it is also possible to see an active section of the volcano on the Western side of its crater.

Fogo volcano, Google Earth image.

The co-ordinates are 14°54'39.35"N, 24°21'11.63"W (Decimal degrees: 14.906558°N, -24.351938°W).

Cheers
